Medusa's Locks

[Topshop top]

Sea salt gives my hair a quick transition back to its natural state, this day in Mykonos it was so unruly that from a distance it made me look somewhat like Medusa. I love the colour of this top. It makes me smile.. and it is so similar to the colour of the bougainvillea that wind themselves through the latticed walls in the streets. Little Venice was so chilled, we stopped for an hour or so and listened to waves lap against the walls of the cafe whilst sipping on some beer. :)
Will upload some more again soon, I'm knee deep in clothes I don't even remember packing trying to get everything zipped up safe inside my suitcase ready for another ferry ride tomorrow. Heading further south in the Cyclades.. next stop Ios.

Μύκονος-Mykonos

[Zara dress, Shoes from Athens]

White walls, blue skies and sun kissed skin for as far as the eye can see. Mykonos is by far one of the friendliest places I've been to. Its occupants are bursting with smiles, from the guy behind the counter selling gyros to the fisherman and the little old lady twisting together bracelets. I wore this super cute little knit dress from Zara on the second day here, I was feeling in the mood to be matching with my surroundings. We wandered for hours through the maze that is Mykonos Chora, ending up in the best jewellery and clothing stores. I bought myself some very sass&bide-ish dresses from a local designers store and an amazing almost khaki coloured slashed knit from someones adorable grandma. With the dramas of Athens behind me, I'm on the hunt for a new necklace.. time to head back to streets and get lost in the magic.

Αθήνα - Athens

Athens - the cradle of western civilisation and the birthplace of democracy.
It has a lot to offer if you keep your wits about you! We spent 2 days here.. roaming through the streets, eating gyros and souvlaki (my newest flavour addiction) and scaling the Acropolis to take in the beauty of the Parthenon.
Our hotel was an oasis amongst the bustling city streets of downtown Athens. Fresh Hotel has a stunning rooftop pool with spectacular views of the Parthenon. Sunset called for cocktails in the open air, and conversations with new friends. Nicole and Jeremy were a lovely newlywed couple from LA who had just done a 10 day whirlwind honeymoon.. congrats guys! :)
I would recommend travelling through here with things that are little of value to you. I had my necklace ripped off my neck whilst walking to the station in the morning, it was a christmas present and one of my favourites. It was more scary than anything.
We've made it to the islands now and all bad experiences in the past, we're having an amazing time. The cameras are getting a good work out, I'm looking forward to showing you what we've been up to!

shipwrecked

A paper plane and a crown, I love the magic in these pieces of jewellery. The paper plane is the newest addition to the jewellery box. I believe that accessories are more than just an expression of personal taste.. its something deeper.. hopes, dreams and fantasies. This paper is my favourite, looks like its come from a bottle washed ashore.. amazing.
