Bordeaux was one of our day trips from Biarritz, we got out there pretty early and most of the town was still asleep. We had a very French snack which consisted of cheese and bread before heading out to find a vineyard. We turned up to the first vineyard just as siesta started, so we drove across the river and through some fields until we came across a beautiful little Chateau Duplessy. We wandered through the vineyard and saw the grapes being picked, then processed and sent to the barrels. We scored a private tour through the cellars and ended the day with some tasting. We liked it so much we left 3 boxes richer :)
