come clean

I fly a LOT.. and often get asked how I combat jetlag and my skin care routines, so here it is!

Drink: at least 2 litres of water a day. I try to carry a water bottle with me every where I go. Keeping hydrated is so important especially when you're on an aircraft as much as I am. Water is key to keeping a healthy mind & body and beating jetlag.

Skin: Cleanse. Tone. Moisturise.

Cleanse: I use Clinique. My best advice is to go and get your skin evaluated so you can use the best products for your skin type. I always cleanse my skin after I take my make up off at the end of the day, it really helps to purify and get rid of the dirt from the day.

Tone: I use Clinique Clarifying Lotion straight after cleansing. This gets rid of the remaining traces of make up and tightens up the pores.

Moisturise: I use a variety of moisturisers for different situations. I try to keep things as natural as possible. I love using Rose Hip oil on my face just before I go to bed. It helps repair the damage of the day. I use Therapists Secret Facial Oil by Sanctuary Spa - Covent Garden
At night I use Night Concentrate by Sanctuary Spa - Covent Garden. It contains a combination of pomegranate oil and cocoa butter to repair the skin whilst you sleep.
Once or twice a week I do a warming scrub on my face to exfoliate. I use a microbrasion polish by Sanctuary Spa - Covent Garden it leaves my skin feeling amazing!

Try to give your skin at least one day off a week. My schedule is hectic but my days off are my time to re group and settle. When I'm at home tend to not wear any make up to give my skin a breather. Its so nice to chill out - your skin will really appreciate it too! If I do head out, I usually just brush on a bit of tinted moisturiser and a flick of mascara.

It's so important to look after yourself on the inside as well as the outside, your skin will glow if you're putting the right things into your body. Make sure you incorporate lots of fruits and vegetables into your diet and try to eat things as close to its natural state as possible. The less processing the better!

Invest in the right products for your skin type, get lots of sleep and drink enough water!
