We were waiting for the ferry to take us to Capri and decided to play around on the rocks near the port. The weather was amazing, although I was dying for some salt water and it was just a little too cold to jump in.
Italy is breath taking. Make sure you add it to your bucket list!

Venti from Roma

Day one in beautiful Rome. I could have spent weeks and weeks here. I loved wandering past the Trevi Fountain every day.. I had heard stories from friends that it was disappointing but I completely disagree - it is one of the most amazing sights! If you head down early in the morning or late evening you may be lucky enough to have the fountain all to yourself. Make sure you throw in a few coins - for love, luck and the promise of a return trip to Roma. We got stopped several times with lots of camera questions / statements - Benny's lens draws a lot of attention! :)

wandering heights

With the easy blue coastal walks closed - we took to the skies ( unintentionally and unprepared ) and hiked the mountains between two of the five towns in Cinque Terre. Definitely worth it. The best views are definitely from the top. We stumbled across a gorgeous Italian lady selling home made lemonade from her little lemon grove. Totally sweet :)

Cinque Terre sneak peek

I'm slowly, slowly sifting through my Italy trip photos. I've got about 10 minutes down time before the rest of my day sweeps me up so I thought I'd quickly share these snaps from the very beginning of our trip.
We start in Cinque Terre and staying in the first of the 5 towns - Riomaggiore. This tiny town possesses a magical atmosphere that totally captures you the moment you arrive. The coastal walks are beautiful - the kissing chair with all the love locks has to be my favourite bit.

fringe benefits

Chop chop. I was so bored of my hair I cut a fringe!! Not sure if it was the best idea considering I'm heading to Italy on wednesday - which means loads of swimming and my hair has a tendency to go slightly fro like after salt water.. lets hope for the best!

flower markets

The weather in London is refusing to go away so we decided to brave the cold and head to Columbia Road for the flower markets. My girl Rochelle lives right near here and she blew off her kick boxing class just to spend the afternoon with me :) I'm definitely going to miss her when I move back to Sydney in 4 weeks!


I picked up some amazing lillies and english lavender then we swung by AllPress for some coffee and treats.. you have to give in once a week!
